With over 20 years of experience as a financial advisor and planner, I’m passionate about helping individuals and families achieve financial freedom. I specialize in working with educators and first responders—people who dedicate their lives to serving others. Guiding them through complex financial decisions is both a responsibility and a privilege that brings real meaning to my work.

I chose this profession to make a lasting difference in people’s lives. I value the independence of running my own practice, but more importantly, I value the trust my clients place in me and the relationships we build together. As a CFP® and Hall of Fame member at Equitable, I bring seasoned insight and personal attention to every client I serve.

My work wouldn’t be possible without the strength and partnership of my wife, Holly. Her unwavering support has been a cornerstone of both my business and our family life. We live in Cincinnati with our three sons—Henry, Sawyer, and Desmond. When I’m not working, I enjoy coaching youth sports, staying active, and spending time outdoors with my family.

Every week, I have the privilege of making a positive impact on the financial future of my clients. I love meeting one-on-one with families and employees of school districts, municipalities, and small businesses. These interactions bring a sense of accomplishment to all of us, knowing that we are working together towards a secure financial future.

My journey in the financial services industry began out of sheer curiosity. After graduating with a marketing degree from the University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business, I wanted to dive deeper into the financial markets and planning. I took my first job with a large firm to gain top-level training, which fueled my desire to build my own client base and form meaningful relationships.

I was born and raised on the west side of Cincinnati, a tight-knit community where many of my relatives still live nearby. After spending my freshman year in Charleston, WV, I returned to Cincinnati and attended Elder High School (Go Panthers!). My strong ties to the people I grew up with and my ever-expanding circle of family and friends enrich my life and work.

My wonderful wife, Tammy, and our daughters, Clara and Elayna, motivate and support me every day. Watching my daughters play sports, especially golf, and playing golf with them are some of my favorite pastimes. I also enjoy attending concerts and rooting for Kentucky Football, Kentucky Basketball, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cincinnati Reds.

In addition to my degree, I hold a Wharton Certificate in Retirement Planning. I am actively involved in my community through organizations like the Knights of Columbus, BNI, and the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.

I’m passionate about helping my clients achieve their financial dreams. My journey began on the Westside of Cincinnati, where I grew up attending Elder High School and later earned my degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC College of Engineering. My fascination with the stock market and solving complex problems led me to a fulfilling career as a financial advisor.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is hearing my clients' stories and celebrating their wins. I take pride in building relationships that extend beyond the financial realm, often becoming a trusted advisor and friend. When a client refers me to their family or friends, it’s a testament to the trust and appreciation they have for the work we’ve done together.

When advising clients, I always ask myself, "If I were on the other side of the table, would I use what I am recommending?" I listen to understand your concerns and goals, educate you on your options, and help you implement the best path forward.

As a CFP® and Hall of Fame member at Equitable, I have the expertise to turn your financial information and goals into a clear, actionable plan. I enjoy the challenge of creating tailored solutions that help my clients reach their objectives. There’s nothing quite like seeing someone hit their financial milestones and hearing the exciting stories that come with those achievements.

Family is incredibly important to me. I’m still very close with my family, and I believe this helps me connect with my clients on a deeper level. I want to be a part of your dreams and do everything I can to help you achieve your goals.

I’m fortunate to share my life with my wonderful wife, Maria, and our three children: Max, Reese, and Carmen. When I’m not working, you’ll find me coaching my kids' sports teams, boating at Lake Cumberland, or enjoying backyard sports with my family. Staying active and living a healthy lifestyle is a priority for me, and I bring that same energy and dedication to my work.

My mission is to help you understand your financial picture in a way that empowers you to take action and face your future with confidence. My journey in the financial services industry began upon graduating from Xavier University in 1998. I started my career at Fidelity Investments, where I served in a variety of roles and quickly realized my desire to build more meaningful and lasting relationships with clients.

To fulfill this aspiration, I joined Retirement Benefits Group as a Financial Professional, focusing on the financial planning needs of educators and their families. In 2004, I partnered with Matt Gates to build a Wealth Management practice, and together, we have created lasting and impactful relationships that guide our clients on their journey to financial success.

My background is a blend of cultures and experiences. I was born in New Jersey, but I grew up in Germany from the time I was 1 year old. in Stuttgart and Baden-Baden, Germany, to an American father and a German mother. At 19, I moved to Cincinnati to attend Xavier University, and after graduating, I decided to put down roots in this wonderful city.

Outside of my professional life, I am an avid bicyclist and enjoy attending live theater performances. I am also an active member of the Cincinnati Opera Guild. My commitment to the community extends to my involvement with the Greater Harrison Chamber of Commerce, the Tri-State Tooling and Manufacturing Association, and the Cincinnati Cycle Club.

I get excited about helping a great group of people in the first responder market. This is a community that has been grossly underserved for decades, and now we have the opportunity to make a significant impact on thousands of lives. It's incredibly fulfilling to provide the support and financial guidance that these dedicated professionals deserve.

My journey into the financial services industry began quite unexpectedly. I was looking for a career change when someone approached me on the golf course and suggested that I might excel in this field, specifically working with teachers, police officers, and firefighters. This idea intrigued me, especially since my mother was a teacher and my brother is a firefighter. I knew I could make a meaningful impact in this area, so I took a chance. That was the fall of 2011, and by January 2012, I had earned my licenses and started full-time at Equitable.

Growing up in Cincinnati, money was always a sensitive subject in my household. While we were never destitute, it always felt like we were just a little short. My parents were excellent providers, but they will be the first to admit that they struggled with financial management. I vividly remember them burning credit cards in the sink one evening because they felt trapped by debt. These experiences taught me that we are not defined by our bank accounts, but money can evoke different emotions based on how we handle it. Today, I strive to be the best steward of my own finances and encourage my clients to do the same, regardless of their financial situation.

I am married to my wonderful wife, Sarah, and we have four amazing kids. In my free time, I enjoy golf, sporting clays, gardening, and reading. One day, I hope to get back on the mats and pursue Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu more seriously.

I also believe in giving back to the community and sit on the board for two non-profits: the Cincinnati Police Museum and the Hamilton County Police Association charitable organization.
